Merry, Merry Christmas

We had a very Merry Christmas. Everyone was very grateful for all their gifts. My favorite part was the hugs of gratitude.

Oh how I miss you guys. I got your message the other day and always forget to call until I sit down and decompress at night, and then its too late. I need you to write a book on all the advice I need from you and then just have it shipped right to me. I'll call, I promise!

OK, I just caught up on the previous posts and OH MY GOSH the hair removal is one of the funniest (so sorry to say that, I KNOW it was not funny at the time) that I have ever read. Do I have your permission to share? My sisters have to hear it.

Feel free to share. It wasn't my story, it was a forward to me. Everyone needs a good laugh.

So fun to see everybody! How do you manage to get your kids to focus on their gratitude at Christmas rather than demanding more? (I'm hoping my DD's comment is just a 4yo thing, and that she'll mature into a lovely child like yours!)

OK, I'm a total moron who realized this morning while thinking about it that you even clarified that this wasn't your personal story...I'm a dork, I'm still thoroughly entertained by it and really so glad that it didn't actually happen to you.

Rach, getting them to focus on gratitude or forcing them to focus on gratitude; it's a fine line. A few years ago it was total force, now it is a habit that they even took out of the house and used with other people. They did very well this year and we had an incredibly Merry Christmas. By the way, nothing is better than a 4yo telling it the way she sees it. We loved that post.

I can't believe how old the kids are. Wasn't it just yesterday we were all in SC and the kids were just these adorable little guys? Time goes by so fast. Thank you for always posting on my blog it is always a treat to hear from you.
