Jesus Wants Me For A Sunbeam
Nathan started Sunbeams class at Church this week. Our family has been debating for the last month whether Jesus really wants Nathan to be a Sunbeam or not. When discussing Sunbeams Nathan was adament about "No Sunbeam". Nathan was Nursery challenged and didn't make it to Nursery for the first year he was able to go. He only just turned 3 three weeks ago and in general Nathan hates to sit or be quiet. He survived the first week and so did his teachers. He managed Sharing Time with the help of his daddy and went to class on his own, but didn't really paticipate. He didn't cry much so we count it as a victory. We hope things will continue to improve each week. We are still going to pray for Nathan and his teachers everyday and hopefully some day soon he and Jesus will want him to be a Sunbeam.

Wow! Three already. The twins will be three in January so they missed the cut off sunbeams. Thank goodness. We just got nursery down. Good Luck. I think he did well and I would count it as a victory too.
My thoughts on Sunday centered on being grateful that all of our three-year-olds went to sunbeams and left the two-year-olds with some peace and quiet! I think we had 15-20 kids leave nursery (including 4 sets of twins!!), and they left less than 10. Much more peaceful. =) That's good, b/c I was a sub this week in nursery. Tanner has a much better shot at playing with the trucks now.
I can't believe Nathan is so grown up. I'm still picturing Spencer whenever you are talking about Nathan though. Spencer as a three-year-old.
Valerie, Nathan is almost identical to Spencer as a 3 year old in appearance, but what I wouldn't give for a little more of Spencer's easy going attitude.
We like to sing "Jesus wants Mi-a for a Sunbeam!" hoping it will encourage her. With me in the primary room (as conducting this last Sunday) mostly she just sat there with her arms out to me and snapping little lobster claws. Bless these little Sunbeams...bless them all the way to class...happy.
